Is Pinterest ruining and simultaneously improving anyone else’s life? It may sound desperate but this mini new form of social media has taken over my free time in a big way.
Have you ever realized how many things there are our there that you want? Nay, that you need? I never appreciated the grand scale of my wish list until Pinterest evilly reminded me day in and day out of all the things I could, but do not yet have. IT HURTS. Some pieces I’ll just have to cut my losses because they’ll never be mine, but it’s interesting how different people use Pinterest in different ways.
Some use it as a form of wedding planning where they pin ideas all day about what they’ll want and need for their big day, others use it to virtually decorate their homes, create an online wish closet (that would be me), an online beauty box (me again) as a inspiration board to get thin, or to list places to visit and places they’d love to go again (guilty a third time on the travel bit). Below and above are screen shots of some of my actual pin boards. As you can see, I’ve been using it regularly.
So I wonder: what do you use Pinterest for if you use it at all?
I maintain that it’s the coolest thing since the invention of Twitter and have continually worked to perfect (if that’s even possible?) my online board of haves, needs and wants. Sounds very self-serving but I think people appreciate the concept and show this approval by re-pinning your bits to the world and sharing with their friends what’s yours.
If you haven’t gotten Pinterest, hey, let me know in the comments below or DM your email @margo_christine and I’ll invite your fine self. Sharing is caring. PIN AT ME. I must warn you though, it is addictive. Pin at your own risk there amigos.
Happy Friday! x
