When I saw that this is the “world’s first gel mousse mascara” I had to try it, obviously. I’m a mascara snob so it’s hard to get me with a gimmick but this really caught my attention. Here’s how it looks and what I thought.
Phase 1. No Mascara. This way you can see what what my peepers look like sans gel help. Yes my smiling is awkward throughout. I always feel weird taking photos of myself, yanno? Please ignore the bright red lint roller and brushed behind me. I was too lazy to crop them out.
Phase 2. One coat.
Phase 3. Two coats.
Phase 4. Three coats.
LUSCIOUS.
I don’t have any eyeliner or eyeshadow on so all of this effect is only from the mascara. I love it. The only negative I have about this is that it gets a bit clumpy on the lower lashes because the brush is so big but that’s easy to fix because the gel is so easy to move. I tend to think the bendy part of the brush is a gimmick because it really didn’t effect the application process at all as it hardly even moved. Finally, I’m not a big fan of the packaging. I think since this is a “world’s first” it should have had a chicer tube.
Overall, though, I am in love with this product and would recommend it to all of you. My lashes are dramatically fuller and longer (as you can see from the last photo) and I can’t wait to use it again!
It costs about $10 which is on the higher end for drugstore mascara but it’s worth it. It’s available at CVS and Target. I also found it a bit discounted online but with shipping it still costs about the same. Get yours.
What do you think? Will you try it? x
